Return Policy

You have 30 days from delivery to start a return. What comes back to you depends on why the item is coming back, and section 2 sets that out in full. The one thing worth knowing up front: if something was wrong with the order, you are not out of pocket for any part of it.

Effective August 9, 2026.

1. The window

You have 30 days from delivery to start a return. Delivery is the date of the carrier's delivered scan or, where there is no scan, the date you sign for the package. If an order is never marked as delivered, the 30 days run from the day it shipped instead. An order that was canceled has nothing to return, because the payment for it has already come back to you.

The window is checked when you open the order, so the order page tells you where you stand before you fill anything in. If it says the window has closed and you think that is wrong, write to us and we will look at the order.

2. What comes back to you

Every return refunds the price of the item and the tax you paid on it. The two figures that move are the shipping you originally paid and the postage to send the item back.

If you changed your mind, or the size is wrong, we refund the price of the item and the tax you paid on it. The shipping you paid to have it sent to you is not refunded, and you cover the postage to send it back.

If the item arrived damaged, or it is the wrong item, or it does not match how the listing described it, we refund the price, the tax, and the original shipping. The postage to send it back is not your cost.

You pay the postage on a change-of-mind return, and we recommend a tracked service because an item lost on the way back without tracking is at your risk. When something was wrong with the order, the postage back is not your cost. Write to support before you send anything back in that case: there is no return label in your account yet, so we arrange it with you directly.

Handling fees. No. We do not take a handling fee out of your refund, and no vendor on Salaaz charges one today. Vendors may be able to set one on change-of-mind returns in future. If that happens, the amount will be shown to you before you confirm the return, so it can never turn up as a surprise deduction afterwards.

3. When a parcel arrives damaged

A parcel damaged on its way to you is treated the same as an item that left the workshop damaged, so you get the same full refund either way. Keep the item and the packaging until the case is closed, and send us a photograph of both. The packaging is usually what shows where the damage happened.

Open the order in your account and start the return with the damaged reason, or write to us if you would rather talk it through first. Your refund is not held up while we work out where the damage happened, and none of that is yours to chase.

4. Condition of the item

For a change-of-mind return, the item must be:

  • Unused or unworn, with original tags attached where they were attached at delivery.
  • In the original packaging, in condition fit for resale.
  • Not a category we have flagged as final-sale on the listing (perishables, personalized or custom-cut items, intimate apparel, opened fragrance or cosmetics).
  • Accompanied by the order number when you submit the return.

None of this applies when the item arrived damaged, wrong, or not as described. Send it back as it reached you.

5. How to start a return

1

Submit a return request

From your account dashboard, open the order and tap Start a return. Choose the items and the reason. The reason decides what is refunded, so pick the one that fits.

2

Send the item back

We give you the return address, which varies by vendor. On a change-of-mind return you buy the postage. Where something was wrong with the order, write to support before you post it so we can arrange the postage with you.

3

Vendor inspects on arrival

The vendor inspects the item within five business days of receipt and confirms eligibility. If they cannot confirm in that window, Salaaz authorizes the refund.

4

Refund issued

The refund goes to the original payment method within five to ten business days of inspection. What it covers is the table in section 2.

6. Canceling instead of returning

Canceling is a different thing from returning. Cancel before anything has shipped and everything comes back to you, including the shipping. Once the parcel has been bought from the carrier that shipping is no longer refundable, because it is the money that pays for the delivery.

You can cancel from the order in your account for as long as it has not shipped. Once it has shipped, the order page switches over to offering you a return.

7. Listings that turn out to be wrong

If an item does not match what the product page disclosed (material composition, country of origin, certifications, a named supply-chain stage, the vendor's identity), that is a disclosure failure on the vendor's part. Your refund follows the second row of the table above: price, tax, and original shipping, with the postage back off your hands.

The case also goes to ethics review. We re-check the disclosure against the evidence on file and, where the mismatch is confirmed, the rating is adjusted and the vendor has to correct the listing before selling the item again. The return itself runs on the same 30-day window as every other return. Telling us about a disclosure problem has no deadline, and you can do that whether or not you want to send the item back.

8. What is not eligible

  • Items marked final-sale on the listing at the time of purchase.
  • Personalized, made-to-order, or custom-cut items, unless the item arrived damaged, wrong, or not as described.
  • Perishables, intimate apparel, and opened fragrance or cosmetics, on the same exception.
  • Orders outside the 30-day window, and canceled orders, which have already been refunded.

9. International returns

International returns follow the same rules and the same table. Customs duties or import taxes on the original shipment are charged by the destination country, so we cannot refund them. Where something was wrong with the order, the postage back is still not your cost; write to support before you send it, because cross-border returns need paperwork we would rather prepare with you than have refused at a border.

10. Statutory rights

This policy is in addition to any non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer-protection law. For EU and EEA consumers, that includes the fourteen-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive and the conformity warranty under the Sale of Goods Directive. Where local law gives you more, local law wins.
